The new Tesla service center opened in Kelowna BC in March 2025. It is the BC interior’s first Tesla store, boasting a 30,000 square-foot building and a large lot for future inventory. The facility is located in the new development area across the highway from the Kelowna airport.
The Tesla service center is a game changer for current and prospective Tesla owners, as the next closest facilities are in Vancouver or Calgary. For some, having a locally available service location is a must before purchasing.
While the huge lot around the service center is mostly empty, we are told that there will plenty of inventory in the near future to fill the space. In the meantime, there are demo units of each model available for test drives. Tesla has five EV offerings: the Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and the Cybertruck.
Unlike traditional car dealers, Tesla uses a direct sales model. Instead of having independent dealer ownership, Tesla owns the dealership and service center itself. This effectively cuts out an expensive middleman and the final price you pay is far more transparent. At Tesla there are no inflated prices, hidden fees, or unnecessary add-ons. You can basically order the car online and pick it up when it’s ready. The on-site sales advisors are a pleasure to talk to and will actually help you with a purchase decision without any undue pressure.
The savvy EV owner will of course want to charge their new EV at home, and the Tesla Wall Connector is an excellent option for a level 2 charger. While the chargers and associated hardware are not currently stocked at the Kelowna location, we are told that it will change in the future as the facility increases its inventory to fill the massive space. The current process for acquiring a Tesla Wall Connectors is to order one online, and it will typically arrive at your doorstep within a few days.
