Site consultation and assessment

  • Analyze the installation site
    We will visit your site and determine the installation requirements, discuss charging solutions, and determine the aesthetics of how you would like your charger to look and behave.   
  • Develop a specification
    We will develop a full specification for a successful install. The specification will include the materials required for install, specify the required work tasks, and outline any permitting or legal requirements. 
  • Full estimate
    Once the assessment is complete we can provide an exact cost for your EV charger installation. We plan the work, and work the plan. 
  • If the assessment is done correctly, every nut, screw or bolt will be accounted for. Our provided estimate prior to installation will be laser accurate. 

Installation

  • EV Charger installation
    We will install your EV charger to your specification. We will apply for the permits, procure the required materials, and a certified electrician will perform the electrical installation. 
  • Depending on the installation requirements, your new charger will require commissioning. Often this will involve the use of a computer, tablet, or smart phone to connect with the charger and define the desired charging parameters. We will also perform these steps to ensure your new system behaves exactly the way you want.  

Inspection
The job is complete when the inspection is passed. Photographs are taken during the install for submission to the electrical inspector. If a site inspection is required, we will meet the inspector at the client site. A passed electrical inspection is the reason to choose a certified professional. With this in mind our goal is to finish strong when it counts the most, and successfully complete the inspection as efficiently as possible. This is where proper planning truly pays!

EV Ready Plan

  • For multi-unit complexes
    An EV Ready plan is a professional document that we prepare to provide details about how your multi-unit complex can best integrate EV charging.
  • The EV Ready Plan will provide insights on optimal solutions for making parking spaces EV ready, and define any needs for increased service capacity or an EVEMS system. 
  • Currently BC Hydro is offering a rebate of up to 75% off the costs of creating an EV Ready Plan (to a maximum of $3000, see here). 

Electrical Planning Reports

  • For Strata corporations
    Part 5.2 of the Strata Property Act requires that strata corporations with five or more strata lots to obtain an Electrical Planning Report (EPR). For strata corporations located in the BC interior, the EPR must be completed by December 31, 2028.
  • The Electrical Planning Report provides a detailed analysis of your strata complex's electrical system, and an assessment on the available capacity for future electrical loads - such as heat pumps and EV chargers.
